Nick Caruso has been tattooing in New York City since 1997. A Staten Island native, he built his career in the shops of Brooklyn and Manhattan before coming home to open Bound For Glory Tattoo on Forest Avenue in 2009 with his longtime friend and business partner, Mike Bee. The goal was simple: bring Staten Island a shop with real credibility, with custom work, a welcoming atmosphere, and walk-ins always taken.

Nick works across American Traditional, Japanese, black and grey, and large-scale pieces like sleeves and back pieces.

His work has been part of some of the most respected flash books in modern tattooing. He co-compiled Lost At Sea with Eric Perfect, a limited-edition, large-format hardcover of nautical flash from over 200 of the world's top tattooers, with a foreword by Henk Schiffmacher, published by Scorpion Front Publishing. He also has been in countless flash books and magazines

Nick has tattooed at major international conventions, including Paris, London, New York, Montreux, Milan, Lugano and Brighton. He has also done guest spots at Invisible NYC on the Lower East Side, Tattoo City in San Francisco, Elm st. In Dallas, Five Points in Manhattan, Miami Ink in Florida, as well as many shops in the US and all over Europe. His career has been featured in total tattoo, tattoo life and Highlak. He has appeared on many podcasts including No Lies Just Bullshit, Perfect Tattoo History and the Skin Deep Tattoo Podcast.
